Switch Forwarding
Switch Forwarding sends the press and release of up to eight switches connected to your Android device to the computer, where a profile turns each one into a key, a shortcut, a mouse button, a scroll or a media action. Other software on the computer, such as Grid 3, sees them as if the switch were plugged into the computer.
- Pair the device.
- In Switchify on Android, assign the Open PC Switch Forwarding action to a switch, or open it from PC control.
- Pick a profile and start. Stop at any time, change profiles, or go back to normal Switchify scanning on the phone.
Profiles
Section titled “Profiles”Switchify PC comes with two:
- Generic keyboard maps the switches to keys such as Space, so most switch-aware software works at once.
- Grid 3 talks to Smartbox Grid 3 directly. Windows only.
Built-in profiles are read-only. Duplicate one to make your own, then map each of the eight switches to:
- a key;
- a shortcut of up to four keys;
- a mouse button, held or clicked;
- a scroll action;
- a media action.
Open the profile manager from the main window, the tray or menu bar, or Settings. Profiles sync to your other computers when you sign in.
